On April 19th, 1775 the first shot was fired on Lexington Green in Lexington MA in our great nation’s war for independence from England. It has been referred to as the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World”. A nationwide celebration to commemorate this great event takes place every year at shooting facilities around the country with the firing of one volley simultaneously with the firearm of your choice (Black Powder Rifles welcome)
Because so many people that wish to participate also work for a living and April the 19th falls on Thursday this year the commemoration will be held on Saturday the 21st at noon.
