The Silver Bullet Training Facility


The NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) program was developed in response to the demand for a nationally recognized range safety officer certification. To become a NRA Range Safety Officer, you must pass the RSO course and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

Every student will learn how to properly take control of firearms on the firing line, how to identify stoppages and malfunctions, and how to properly clear them.

Student Materials: 
– Range Safety Officer packet with RSO course book and test.

Course Outline:
– The Role of a Range Safety Officer
– The purpose of Standard Operating Procedures
– Range Layouts and Limits
РRange Inspection 
– Range Rules
– How to conduct a Range Safety Briefing
– Emergency Procedures
– Firearm Stoppages and Malfunctions
– How to properly control a shooter on the firing line.

Bring your lunch or grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, chips and drinks will be available for a small fee.

Cost of this course is $50 for members or significant others of The Well Armed Woman. These participants need to contact DPDS for registration.

$150 for all other participants. All other participants, please register online.
